उत्तराखंड में जंगल की आग की घटनाओं में वृद्धि हो रही है। हाल ही में, रानीखेत के जंगल में आग लग गई, जिससे वन संपदा को भारी नुकसान हुआ है। आग तेजी से फैल रही है, और इसे नियंत्रित करने के प्रयास जारी हैं। आग लगने के कारणों का अभी पता नहीं चल पाया है।
पहाड़ में सर्दी की शुरूआत में ही वनों पर आग का जोखिम बढ़ने लगा है। बुधवार को खैरना स्टेट हाईवे से लगे उपराडी के जंगल में अराजक तत्वों ने आग लगा दी। वन क्षेत्राधिकारी तापस मिश्रा ने कहा कि आग लगाने वालों की पहचान कर कार्रवाई की जाएगी। टीम मौके को रवाना कर दी गई है।
वहीं गनियाद्योली व पाखुडा के वन क्षेत्र भी जला दिए गए। हालांकि ग्रामीणों की मदद से वन कर्मियों ने आग पर काबू पा लिया। इसके बावजूद बडे़ पैमाने पर वन संपदा को नुकसान पहुंचा है।
